Frequently asked questions

How much does membership cost, and is there a joining fee?

Membership costs 2,500 CZK per month. There is no joining fee. A refundable deposit of 50 CZK is required for the access card and building keys.

What does membership include?

Unlimited 24-hour access to three snooker tables, use of the club facilities (sofa, coffee machine, kettle, TV, Wi-Fi), training aids (straight cueing aid, ball cleaner, rests, scoreboards), and participation in the club community.

Can I try the club before becoming a member?

Yes. A trial hour is free — just call ahead so someone can open the club for you. You can take a look around and have a game while you're there.

How do I become a member?

Call +420 777 111 568 and we'll arrange a time to meet at the club. You can look around, we'll go through the terms, and if you decide to join we'll hand you an access card and keys on the spot — from that moment on you have 24/7 access to the club.

Can I bring a friend who isn't a member?

Yes. A member's guest pays 100 CZK per hour at the table and may only enter the club in the company of a member. Payment can be made by bank transfer via QR code, or by placing cash in the club's safe — just write down how long you played and how much you paid.

What is the notice period?

Membership is on a monthly basis, with a notice period of 1 month. We do not offer the option to pause membership (e.g. while abroad).

Do I need to book a table?

Not for now — in practice it's rare for all three tables to be taken at the same time. If someone is practising alone and another player arrives, the courtesy is to offer them a game together. We use a members' WhatsApp group to coordinate and arrange games. If table conflicts start happening more often, we'll introduce a booking system.

Can I learn to play at the club? Do you offer a coach?

All levels are welcome. We don't have a resident coach, but you have three ways to improve: more experienced members are happy to give advice, you can book an individual lesson at the club with EBSA coach Tomáš Kejla, or join in club tournaments and sparring matches.

How does access work when there's no one at reception?

The club is self-run — there's no permanent staff on site. Every member has their own access card and keys to the building and can come at any time, day or night. The space is monitored by cameras. A cleaner comes in twice a week.

Where is the club and how do I get there?

Na Petřinách 55, Prague 6, 2nd floor. Right next to Petřiny metro station (line A); the tram and bus stops are directly in front of the building. Parking in the area is free at weekends; on weekdays purple zones apply.

Is there food and drink at the club?

You'll find a coffee machine and kettle at the club, and you're welcome to bring your own food. We don't sell drinks or snacks on site — but there is a Billa supermarket on the ground floor of the building.

Are there any club rules?

No smoking inside. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. After your game, please tidy up — brush the table and then use the iron, cover it with the protective cover, make sure the windows are closed, turn off the lights and lock up when you leave. We expect you to leave the space in the condition you'd want to find it yourself.

Do you hold tournaments?

Yes, we run club tournaments regularly. Dates are posted on the notice board at the club and in the members' WhatsApp group.
